Ultra-Guard Primer is a low VOC, nonfibered, quick drying, asphalt-based primer used in many applications with different membrane sysmtems. It is formulated from specially refined asphalt and top quality penetrating oils. Ultra-Guard HA Primer penetrates deep into the porres of masonry and concrete to give an elastic bonding surface for GMX membrane systems. It can also be used to prime metal, masonry surfaces and bare concrete roof decks. Ultra-Guard HA Primer meets and exceeds ASTM D 41.
Product Advantages:
• Conditions and restores dry felts: Ultra-Guard Primer penetrating oils replace the natural asphaltic oils lost through weathering. They restore a measure of flexibility to the old surface and seal remaining dust that might still be present after standard cleaning operations.
• Self-adhered and hot-fluid applied: Ultra-Guard Primer penetrating oil allow for a long lating flexible bond between fot fluid-applied and self-adhered waterproofing membrane systems.
• Economical: Ultra-Guard Primer is formulated to provide maximum per gallon coverage. A gallon of Ultra-Guard Primer covers the same area as 3-4 gallons (11.4-15 liters) of the standard black fibered roof coating.
• Provides maximum surface adhesion: Ultra-Guard Primer ensures a long lasting flexible bond between the substrate and the GMX waterproofing membrane.
• Dries quickly, reduces total job time: Ultra-Guard Primer is formulated to dry tack-free within 30 – 40 minutes at 77°F (25°C).
